Master the Rules of Engagement

The goal is clear: achieve victory by capturing your opponent's legion Eagle (the King) or by eliminating the majority of their soldier pieces. The player commanding the red checkers makes the first move. All pieces, including the King, move like a rook in chess—horizontally or vertically any number of squares—but cannot jump over any piece, friendly or enemy, and diagonal movement is forbidden.

Capturing is neutralized through a clever "pincer" maneuver. On your turn, if you move a piece to sandwich one or more enemy pieces casual gameween two of your own (horizontally or vertically), those trapped pieces are captured and removed from the board. You can capture two or even three pieces in a single, well-planned move. Importantly, capturing is optional, not mandatory.

A key strategic nuance is that moving your piece *casual gameween* two enemy pieces is completely safe; only the act of pinching from the sides results in a capture. The game ends under several conditions: if the King is completely immobilized (surrounded on four sides, three sides at the board's edge, or two sides in a corner), it is considered captured. A King can even be trapped by its own pieces, a situation known as the "cowardly" king. Victory also goes to the opponent if a player is left with only the King, making further captures impossible, or if the same board position repeats three times.
